Service Description

Agencies: This training is relevant for medical, behavioral health or educational institution. Goal: to increase awareness of the wide-reaching impact of stress and trauma, to help move an organization towards trauma-informed care, to increase compassion and provide participants with effective tools to be able to manage and respond to stress and trauma in their own life as well as the people they serve and work with. Schools: Trauma-Informed, Trauma-Sensitive & Trauma Responsive Schools Training Schools play a significant role in supporting the health and well-being of children and youth, including those affected by traumatic experiences. In a trauma-sensitive school, all aspects of the educational environment—from workforce training to engagement with students and families to procedures and policies—are grounded in an understanding of trauma and its impact and are designed to promote resilience for all. The Trauma-Informed Schools Training offers school and district administrators and staff a framework and roadmap for adopting a trauma-sensitive approach school. This training includes a variety of resources for educating school staff about trauma and trauma-sensitive practices and a road map to developing a trauma informed champion team for each system. This training provides an avenue to transform your school culture to obtain better results in relating and regulating students and staff’s experience, responses and overall well-being.
